Ride For the Vets

Tuesday April 15, 2008

The 2008 National Veterans Awareness Ride, a 10 day ride from Sacramento, CA to Washington DC, will again roll through the scenic Heartland of America. It is hoped that this event will help bring attention to the following issues:

  • POW/MIA's.
  • Remembering Veterans and their families.
  • Educating the younger generations about the cost of Freedom
  • Promoting healing for all veterans

The overwhelming reception received on the inaugural run in 2005 continues to grow and patriotic citizens all across the country are standing with us in support of our mission and purpose. Many have indicated that they would like to join in this cross-country ride and share the unforgettable experiences and opportunities that this journey offers.

Any and all are encouraged to participate, so come join us in Sacramento CA. or anywhere along the route, and be a part of this memorable event. You are welcome to ride with us for a day, two days or however long your schedule permits.

Please understand this is not a “Fun Run”, but a mission with a purpose. All those who want to participate should share in the passion we have for veterans and be committed to our Mission Statement listed below.

  • To show honor and respect to our veterans.
  • To call for an accounting of all POW/MIA's and emphasize the importance that in wartime no one is left behind.
  • To educate all generations that "Freedom is not Free".
  • To annually take part in and support Rolling Thunder and their efforts for government accountability of POW/MIA's.
  • To remember those KIA who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
